It’s getting warmer outside, and the stores have bikini’s and shorts out! With that, most of us are including hair removal on our “to-do” list. Some of us shave, some of us wax, but my favorite is getting LASERED!
Here’s a little “quickie” on what I’m talking about… I’m talking about laser hair REDUCTION (not removal), because LHR is actually a permanent REDUCTION, something that most consumers aren’t quite aware of until they start their laser hair journey. Let’s get into a few reasons why this is my fave, and why people should start thinking about it now instead of in June!
One thing to keep in mind with this process is that you MUST come back for a series of treatments. Most people see significant results in 6 sessions, and some need even more (meaning over 10-12 treatments before they are satisfied with significant reduction of the hair). Because hair grows in “stages” treatments are typically spaced 4-6 weeks apart for the face, and 6-8 weeks apart on the body in order to “catch” the hair growth and zap those suckers away. That means that if you start the process this month for underarms for example, you would only be on your 3rd treatment by August, and would not have completed your treatments until December! Personally, I saw a significant reduction even at the 4th treatment, but I have the “best” skin and hair type for this treatment (dark hair on light skin) so I respond extremely well to the treatments. Something to keep in mind…
The Benefits (besides being hairless):
-Less “maintenance” time for shaving and waxing
-If you have dark hair/light skin; No funky “gray hue” if you shave
-No more ingrown hairs!
-No wondering “hmm…am i hairy ____ <— (insert body part here)”
Of course, the rubber band snapping sensation is something that needs to be tolerated during laser treatments, but I definitely feel like it’s worth the discomfort. I say try it, but to each their own! 🙂
